STEP BEHIND THE CURTAIN

Callie Scott

Physiotherapist

Callie Scott

Callie Scott is a dedicated physiotherapist with a strong background in dance, physical activity, and rehabilitation. As a graduate of the Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University, she combines clinical expertise with a unique understanding of the physical demands placed on athletes and performers.

With a strong passion for working with dancers, field and power athletes ranging from paediatrics to adults, she is excited to offer personalised treatment plans focussed on sport-specific rehabilitation, performance enhancement, injury prevention, and long term health!

Originally from Ontario, Canada, Callie’s love of movement began in the dance studio. From performing in The Nutcracker with Alberta Ballet to earning regional titles and completing her RAD Advanced 2 Ballet Exam, dance shaped her understanding of the body and sparked a curiosity about how it moves. Teaching and choreographing award-winning routines across Canada deepened that curiosity, blending creative expression with anatomical and biomechanical insight.

That same passion for movement and performance now guides her work beyond the studio. Working with local rugby union teams, Callie hones her skills in acute injury care and return-to-play planning, navigating fast-paced decisions on the sideline and strengthening her commitment to athlete health.

Her interest in accessibility and active living broadened her perspective on physiotherapy, leading her to explore barriers faced by people with disabilities in her published undergraduate thesis research. Her passion for movement and her physiotherapy expertise are now dedicated to guiding athletes and dancers of all ages through injury prevention, optimal return to sport, and enhanced performance outcomes.
